Solar Plant Inaguration
Reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship, K.V.G. Group of Institutions is home to Dakshina Kannada’s largest rooftop solar power plant. Operating at a capacity of 990 kW, this state-of-the-art installation features high-efficiency, German-engineered glass-to-glass solar panels. Equipped with an advanced non-penetration mounting structure that protects roof integrity through zero-drilling adhesive technology, the plant generates approximately 120,000 units of clean electricity every month. By offsetting between 1,200 and 1,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, this landmark clean energy initiative drastically reduces reliance on non-renewable grid power, serving as a regional model for eco-friendly, self-sustaining educational infrastructure.
